Coffee and Morning Work in Otsuka

The Otsuka-ekimae tram stop under the JR tracks at Otsuka Station

Otsuka is an easy place to start the morning with coffee before you settle down to work. For a short email session, try a café by the station. For meetings or several hours at a desk, arrange a workspace in advance.

Start with coffee by the station

Starbucks Atre Vie Otsuka is at 3-33-1 Minami-Otsuka, in the station building. Its regular hours are 7:30 to 22:30, and it has Wi-Fi.

Bring a charged laptop: Wi-Fi does not mean there will be a power socket or a free table. Order something, follow any time limit, and take calls somewhere they will not disturb other guests.

Arrange a proper workspace

RYOZAN PARK OTSUKA has a coworking space in the Minami Otsuka T&T Building, 3-36-7 Minami-Otsuka. Its access page shows the coworking space on the sixth floor, about three minutes from the south exit of JR Otsuka Station.

Contact RYOZAN PARK before you go. Ask whether a visitor can book for your dates, what the total charge is, and which areas allow calls. Do not assume you can walk in without arranging it first.

A morning routine

Get coffee by the station, finish a short task, then move to the workspace you booked or go back to your apartment. Leave time for lunch, so your laptop is not taking up a busy café table.

If your team is overseas, check the time difference before you book. A workspace's daytime hours may not cover an evening meeting in Tokyo.

Pack what you need

Take your charger, headphones and a way to pay. Save the entrance instructions and the operator's contact details before you leave the apartment.

For a confidential conversation, book a private room or use your apartment.
