By using lohus.jp (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Purpose of the Site

lohus.jp gives information about furnished rental homes in Japan. On the Site you can browse homes, send enquiries and learn about the services of Lohus Co., Ltd.

Some homes are operated directly by Lohus; others are advertised at the request of their owners. In every case, please follow the instructions given and the legal notices that apply.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• try to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its servers;
• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to extract data;
• transmit malware or other harmful code;
• post or transmit false, defamatory or abusive content;
• copy, republish or distribute content without permission;
• use the Site to promote unlawful activities, or commercial activities without our consent.

We may suspend or block access for anyone who breaks these rules.

3. Intellectual property and trademarks

3.1 Ownership of content

All content on lohus.jp, including text, images, videos and listings; the site design and layout; logos, icons and graphics; code, scripts and interface elements; and business methods and user workflows, is the property of Lohus Co., Ltd. or its content partners, and is protected by Japanese intellectual property law and international treaties.

3.2 Trademarks

The name "Lohus", the Lohus logo and related slogans and brand identifiers are trademarks or registered trademarks of Lohus Co., Ltd. in Japan and/or other jurisdictions. Using Lohus branding without prior written permission is prohibited and may infringe trademark law.

3.3 Restrictions

You may not copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute any part of the Site's content; use Lohus trademarks, logos or brand elements in a way that may cause confusion; create derivative works, mirror the Site or use framing; or use meta tags or hidden text containing "Lohus" or variations of it without our express consent.

3.4 Third-party content

The Site may show images, brand marks or content owned by third parties, such as property owners and partners. These remain the property of their owners and are used under licence or agreement. If you believe your copyrighted or trademarked material is used improperly on the Site, please contact us at support@lohus.jp.

4. Disclaimer

The content of the Site is for general information only and is not legal, professional or property advice. We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is always complete or free of errors. Details of a home, such as availability, equipment and terms, are confirmed in the rental contract.

If we are liable to you for damage arising from your use of the Site, and the damage was caused by our slight negligence, our liability is limited to direct and ordinary damage. This limit does not apply where the damage was caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it.

5. External links

The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy policies; you visit them at your own risk.

6. Changes to these terms

Lohus Co., Ltd. may update these terms when needed, for example when the law or our services change. Before a change takes effect, we will announce on this page that these terms are changing, with the new terms and the date they take effect.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Yokohama District Court is the agreed court of first instance for any dispute arising from the use of the Site. This does not limit any right you have as a consumer under the applicable law to bring or defend proceedings in another court.

These terms are published in Japanese, English and Traditional Chinese. If the versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.
